If you liked the 2015 surprise hit, Life is Strange, then I have some good news for you.
Today, the developers at Dontnod Entertainment took some time off from working on their upcoming game Vampyr to acknowledge and celebrate Life is Strange selling over 3 million copies. In the tweet below, the devs express their appreciation for their many fans. However, it’s the end of the video that’s interesting.
Near the end of the video, the devs mention that there will be a Life is Strange 2. They also revealed that the new game has been in development since the original game received a boxed version – which happened last year. Unfortunately, they never mentioned a release date for Life is Strange 2.
It’s hard to believe that the next game in the series would be a continuation of the first game since the ending seemed to be pretty conclusive. In fact, it wouldn’t be surprising at all if Life is Strange 2 featured an entirely new cast of characters.
What do you think? Would you be down for a brand new adventure in the Life is Strange Universe, but with different characters?
In less than a month, E3 2017 will kick off. Wasting no time, Nintendo has revealed their plans for the event. Still forgoing the traditional E3 press conference, Nintendo will be doing their now annual Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 video presentation. They will also bring back Nintendo Treehouse Live at E3, where presenters will show off upcoming games for the Switch. Last of all, they will be hosting live-streamed tournaments for both Arms and Splatoon 2 from the show floor.
It’s expected that Nintendo will share new details on upcoming games for the Switch, but for now, these are the games we know Nintendo will have at their booth:
ARMS
ARMS is a brand new IP coming to the Switch. Some have described this brawler as a mix between Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots and Punch-Out!! If you’re dying to try it out for yourself, don’t worry, you’ll be able to get your hands on this game soon. On June 16, right after E3 to be exact.
Splatoon 2
The Inklings are making their way to the Switch in the sequel to one of the Wii U’s best games, Splatoon. Splatoon 2 takes place two years after the first game and will boast a variety of new weapons, gear, and maps for players to enjoy. Splatoon 2 is scheduled for release on July 21.
Super Mario Odyssey
E3 2017 will have the first playable build of Super Mario Odyssey. The game will be the first sandbox-style Mario game since Super Mario Sunshine. E3 event goers will be the first ones to get to play the new Mario game, the rest of us will just have to wait until the holiday season.

A new trailer for the martial arts focused online role-playing game, Absolver, has released new details and a release date.
As you’ll see in the video, the trailer dives headfirst into the details of the game’s complex combat system. There are three main styles that players can choose from. The Forsaken style focuses on parrying, Khalt style is good for absorbing hits and Windfall style is for nimble fighters who can dodge attacks.
In addition to the combat styles, there are also different stances that your fighter will be able to use. Each stance will open up new move sets which will, in turn, change the flow of how you fight. If you want to know more, check out the video below.
Absolver has a release date of August 29, for PlayStation 4 and PC.
